Another monthly reminder to our Classmates of 1953 and 1954 and
cherished friends.
THAT'S RIGHT, here it is June 15th and another month has gone by, AND
now it is only 4 months to October and our 50th Reunion.
Not much news to report. AND I hate to have to tell you that we still do
not have a firm date for homecoming as yet.
However, I can tell you that Harold Petty who is President of the
Homecoming Committee has been making an earnest effort to obtain the
date and is on the verge of setting the date himself without regard to
having a football game for homecoming or not.
I myself have remained in touch with Mauda Alice (Delwaide) Gentry who
is the school secretary and she has advised me that the coach and the
school superintendent have met and the situation currently is that they
are attempting to move a home football game already scheduled for Friday
Night October 10th to Saturday Night October 11th.
If the game can be moved then Homecoming would be on Saturday October
11th and our Class Reunion would be on Friday October 10th
To obtain the latest, I phoned Mauda Alice just today only to discover
that she is in New York on a School trip. I had forgotten about this
but, Ernestine (Segerstrom) Heller who teaches at Lueders Elementary had
told me about the planned school trip to New York.
This would mean that all the school personnel are on the trip and
therefore we can't find anything more about the homecoming date until
they return which I am told will be June 22, 2003.
I also phoned Carol Ann (Felts) Petty today and she basically had the
same news I had.
The important thing for now is for all to be reminded that we have a
date in about four months or if you will go check Your Web Site you will
see the countdown clock says 115 days, 23 hours & 46 minutes which is
now counting towards our Reunion and October 10th

We still would appreciate hearing from those of you who have not replied
so we can get a feel for the size facility we need.
I will let everyone know the Homecoming DATE as soon as it has been
determined and made a FIRM date.
I noticed last month the attachment was way off so I have again added
the same attachment to this message and again have No Comment.
Interestingly, Neither did I received any comments last month, not even
from the two guys I poked fun at.
